There is more than one type of nursing job
There is currently a nursing shortage. Many people do not realize how many nursing jobs there are. Countless jobs are available right now. In fact, there are over 160+ nursing titles alone. There are openings in all fields. A couple of these specified fields include a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist and Nurse Practitioner. These are just two of the many nursing titles.
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
A certified RN Anesthetist is one of the most popular nursing careers. This is because the title has been around for over 150 years. Certified RNA’s are anesthesia professionals who are qualified to administer almost 43 million anesthetics to patients each year in the United States alone.
Traditionally, nurses would care for patients and act as an assistant to a doctor. In today’s ever-changing world, this is no longer true. Nurses provide immediate care for patients. Nurses that are looking to go beyond the scope of a Registered Nurse can become NP. An NP, or Nurs Practitioner, has the ability to make a diagnosis for patients. They also are allowed to administer medication to patients.
These Positions Are Just The Beginning
These two nursing jobs, an NP and CRNA, are just the beginning. These twos positions merely scratch the surface of the countless jobs available to nurses today. One of the great things about nurses is the options. Nurses can work in hospitals, clinics, institutions, and even travel the world with their skills. It’s a great field to get into. All the schooling does pay off at the end of the day. Nurses have flexible hours. In the medical field, Nurses have more opportunity than most others have in their fields of work.
